Join us for a hands-on journey into the art of spoon carving! In this immersive workshop, participants will explore the traditional craft of transforming raw cherry and birch wood blanks into functional and beautiful spoons and spatulas using only hand tools.
Under the guidance of Grant, you'll learn the fundamentals of wood selection, grain orientation, and tool usage as you carve your way to creating unique kitchen essentials. From mastering basic carving techniques to refining intricate details, this class is designed for both beginners and enthusiasts eager to unleash their creativity through woodcraft.

Greetings my name is Grant, most call me Granch. I use he/him/his pronouns and I am a creative with big passion for teaching. I found my way to it working with troubled teens in the wilderness and there was nothing more rewarding to me than seeing my students marvel at their own talents and creative capabilities. I primarily work with leather and waxed canvas; but I love carving spoons as well. I look forward to meeting you and seeing what we can make.
